Seems silly to ask this now, but is it possible to make sidekicks focus a target without me having to target it? See, playing Krug i cant reach back targets, so i target them so my sidekicks will shoot them, but then i cant use my melee skills because they are not in range so i have to select someone in range !
Is that not how it works ? Should be same way to focus my sidekicks without hindering myself

Hmm, that might be a bit tricky to set up, but we'll think about it.
For now, your best bet is to use mouse over targeting to use you melee skills on the close range targets. Just mouse over the close target and hit the hotkey.

What if melee range skills just auto-chose the nearest enemy, if your target is out of range? Then one could target the backrow for sidekicks while still using skills on front row.

I suppose that could be an option in the options menu, but I can think of a number of situations where that would not be a good thing
