Looking at the current enchant materials, forging items can quickly get out of hand power wise which is the biggest p2w threat, a +10 weapon can have +300 stats or an unholy amount of life stealing. The amount of upgrades possible are WAY outpaced by playing the game though, you'll never get a +10 fully enchanted weapon at level 10 because unless you pay lots of money, you'll out level it before you're even close.

These are the kind of big investments you focus on late or end game unless you're rich and twinking out a low level character but thats not very fair for others either.

So i think some enchanting materials should require a weapon to be a certain level, and some very powerful ones to require the item to already be enchanted to a certain point, for example +8 so at MOST you could only put 6 a certain powerful enchantment on it rather than 30.

In fact it'd be an interesting meta if some enchanting materials required certain stats on items already. Like you cant add cast speed or attack speed to an item that doesnt have it already.

Well now that the mail bug is gone i cant empower my guys so much anymore...But the damage is done, at least on a few of them. My krug is maxed, all three of his items are +10 with 30 gems each. He has 12000+ defense, 500+ attack, he could solo a party of three with auto attack alone.
We're going to keep an eye on this.

For now, we nerfed the materials so that the top teir is now +3/+2 instead of +4/+4.
