Inevitable Grind?

So I'm stuck at level 16 without any main quests to do or trial quest to do...

Is it just time to farm through instances?

To be fair though, I think I must've spammed Fields for a good 2 levels. Sounds about right to be honest.

19-20 for me was spamming BB for 100k xp per run.

Are you sure you didn't miss any of the green repeatable quests?
Daily quests are the best source of EXP.
