The Wild Slynx NPC is making a lot of trouble in the game. I've witnessed this twice so far, in Mushroom Forest daily quest and in the Lost Little Kitty. They bug out 100% of the time I encounter them, but what happens is slightly different each time.

Most of the time, the Slynx is killed but simply doesn't die. At this point, the level has to be restarted because the heroes stop progressing. Other times, the Slynx will walk behind the crew and start following them, after which enemies will not appear on screen but the heroes will still attack them. Heroes start randomly moving around the screen.
